Chocolate Crinkles

A plate of delicious Chocolate Crinkles for this Christmas!

Ingredients (6 dozen)

  • Unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup
  • White sugar 2 cups
  • Fortune Vegetable Oil 1/2 cup
  • Eggs 4
  • Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Baking powder 2 teaspoons
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup

Method

  1. Mix together the cocoa, white sugar, and Fortune Vegetable Oil in a medium size bowl.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time and then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Next combine the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir it into the cocoa mixture.
  4. And then cover the dough and chill this for at least 4 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  6. Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper. Roll the dough into one inch balls and coat each ball in confectioners' sugar before placing onto prepared cookie sheets.
  7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Let it stand on the cookie sheet for a minute before transferring to wire racks to cool.
