Banana Fritters

Banana Fritters are an easy and delicious way to try out an exiting new recipe with bananas.

Ingredients (For 12 pieces)

  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon margarine, melted
  • Fortune Cooking Oil
  • ½ cup confectioners' sugar

Method

  1. Combine the milk and bananas in a mixing bowl. Add the the flour, salt, and baking powder to the mix.
  2. Thoroughly mix in the eggs and margarine with this.
  3. Heat the Fortune Cooking Oil in a large skillet to about 180 degrees C.
  4. Place spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and fry until it turns brown. Flip the fritter and continue to brown the other side.
  5. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Dust the fritters with confectioners' sugar and serve while they are warm. (Also you can serve this with maple syrup or honey instead)
